Bizzy Tots activities

The day's activities are divided into the following sessions.

Mornings - 8:00 am to 1:00 pm including mid morning snack and lunch.

Afternoon - 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm including afternoon tea.

Flexibility is part of the philosophy of Bizzy Tots; therefore parents can choose any sessions, combination of sessions or whole days. Full choice is available. The nursery is open all year except Bank Holidays.

Children are encouraged to learn through play using a wide range of toys, equipment, books and paint. The learning is varied and designed to both maximise fun and to develop fine motor skills, and hand to eye co-ordination by the use of painting, soft and wet play, puzzles etc.

More Bizzy Tots activities

Activities are based on themes such as the seasons, weather, seaside, animals, numbers, letters and colours. These themes are further developed through pre-read writing exercises, music, song and rhythms. Children's activities are organised in small groups ensuring a busy, happy atmosphere. All the children have resources at their level to ensure freedom of choice.

Example of additional activities include:

  • Ballet
  • Boogie Bugs music and movement group
  • French lessons by "Parrots"
  • Friday Football (Long Itchington site)
  • the Mobile Library Bus visits every other week (Long Itchington site)
  • Mobile hairdresser (Long Itchington site)

Occasional outings arranged for pre-school children during topics. These opportunities are offered at additional costs, and many more new experiences are being introduced as the nursery progresses.

Outdoor play

The nursery is a well-fenced area with a separately fenced grassed area. Outdoor toys complement this environment, which is important in aiding children's development. We therefore ask parents to bring children with an outdoor coat, boots or shoes and a clearly marked change of clothing.
